Maestros Connect - A Digital Platform

India boasts over 22 million artisans and countless performing artists, yet access to its roughly 1,000 Padma Shri recipients and Shilp Gurus remains limited without personal connections. These maestros embody Brand India as IP creators, poised to elevate artisans globally, foster recognition, and fuel economic growth in the creative sector.

Systemic Value

Padma Shri artists require targeted support for craft premiumization—enhancing quality, branding, and market positioning to command higher value. Meanwhile, the 22 million artisans can scale production to tap a $250 billion global handicrafts market, driving inclusive growth

Step 1: Create a marketplace and a directory to gain access to the artisans and creators community.

Step 2: Create market and distribution access

The approach:

The Maestros Foundation works with alliance partners - (a) Culture minitries  (b) Other NGO's/ SHG groups (c) AI/ Tech organizations to create a digital directory of the artists and artisans in India.

TMF's outcomes:

(a) Digital Director

(b) Marketplace for B2B business

(C) Collaborations for Premiumization of the brands

Quality Standards - Guidelines and Trainings

To penetrate global markets, Indian arts and crafts must meet diverse quality certifications-  performing arts—must adopt standardized classification systems like PG (Parental Guidance) or similar ratings, Tech DRM access, artisanal product grading for quality consistency,  align seamlessly with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on sustainability, such as SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) for eco-friendly sourcing and SDG 8 (Decent Work) for ethical labor, ensuring Indian creators meet international compliance while amplifying cultural exports.

Key Hurdles

India's 50-150 traditional craft forms across 700+ clusters face raw material sustainability issues, output consistency, and Fairtrade labor ethics for 35,000+ products like textiles and metalware.

Training needs:

Capacity-building for 7M+ artisans in 400+ folk dances, 10-15 music gharanas, and visual arts ensures IP registration and export certifications like EPCH, unlocking premium $250B opportunities.

TMFs Outcomes

(a) Unlock this information, and make it accessible, it exists

(b) If non- existent, enable leaders to create harmonised systems and

(c) Will support the government, house them with relevant institutions.

1000 Artisanal Brands

India holds immense potential to capture a $250 billion global export market in creator brands—from artisanal crafts and lifestyle products to performing arts, digital content like animations and books, and design services such as architecture and advertising.

Ambitious Goal

Launch 1,000 globally competitive artisanal brands from India by unlocking international access through superior branding, distribution networks, IP safeguards, and quality upgrades to international standards.

Core Challenges

Complex value and supply chains overwhelm even seasoned players, leaving artisanal producers isolated from global buyers and vulnerable to imitation.

Integrator Approach:

The Maestros Foundation acts as the central orchestrator, forging alliances with creators, NGOs/SHGs, and government bodies to build a dynamic marketplace that matches supply (artisan output) with demand (global buyers), streamlines logistics, and amplifies maestro-led IP for premium scaling.

TMF's outcomes:

(a) Create a tech solution for Insight Generation and Dissemination to Creators

(b) Develop systems to use the Insights to develop market-ready products (via alliance partners)

(c) Create linkages between the products - Marketers (e,g, Advertising companies) and distributors (ONDC, AMAZON et al) or Event Management players, integrators

(d) Enable strategic collaborations with global producers/ brands/ Exporters
